At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.
At a screen, the way you blink changes. Many blinks stop half way. A half blink never wipes the lower part of the eye, and that is exactly where it dries out.
Holding your focus at one close distance for hours is muscular work. That effort is what you feel as fatigue.
The simplest thing that helps is the twenty twenty twenty habit. Every twenty minutes, look at something about twenty feet away for twenty seconds.
If the strain does not settle despite good habits, tell us. It can be a sign that your eyes are not working together as easily as they should.
Ask us about your screen day. Small changes usually make a real difference.
