At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.
Glaucoma takes sight from the edges of your vision first. The centre stays clear for a long time, which is why it so often goes unnoticed.
Your drops lower the pressure inside the eye. Lower pressure slows the damage, and that is what protects the sight you still have.
Sight that has already been lost to glaucoma does not come back. That is why the drops are preventive. They hold the line.
Every missed dose lets pressure climb again. Use one drop, close the eye gently, and press the inner corner for a full two minutes. That keeps the drop in the eye instead of draining down your nose.
If the drops are difficult, uncomfortable, or easy to forget, tell us. There is nearly always an alternative worth trying.
