At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.
Ortho-K uses a rigid lens worn overnight. While you sleep, it gently reshapes the front surface of your cornea.
You take the lens out when you wake up, and your vision stays clear through the day without glasses or daytime contact lenses.
In children, ortho-K does more than correct vision. It has been shown to slow the growth of the eye, which is what drives short-sightedness.
It is completely reversible. If you stop wearing the lenses, the cornea gradually returns to its original shape.
Ask us whether ortho-K would suit you. It depends on your prescription and the health of your eyes.
