At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.
The cloudy lens is softened with sound waves and drawn out through an opening so small it usually needs no stitch.
A clear artificial lens is placed where the old one was. It does not wear out, you cannot feel it, and it never needs replacing.
The implant choice decides where you see sharply. A single-focus lens gives excellent distance. Others split light between distance and near, and that split has trade-offs.
Most people see well the day after surgery. Vision keeps sharpening over the following days, with drops for a few weeks while the eye settles.
Ask us which implant would suit you. The right answer depends far more on how you use your eyes than on the technology.
