At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.
A school screening usually checks how well a child reads letters at a distance. That is useful, but it is only one thing.
A full eye examination checks how the eyes focus, how they work together, the health inside the eye, and the prescription itself.
Children rarely tell you that something is wrong, because they assume everyone sees the way they do. It is often mistaken for difficulty with reading or attention.
It is also when short-sightedness is caught. The years when it starts are the years when it can most be slowed.
Book your child a full eye examination, even if they passed the school screening.
