Transcript

At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.

Treatment usually starts with the glands in your eyelids. Warm compresses and gentle lid cleaning help those oil glands work properly again.

Drops do more than moisten. The right one supports the whole tear film, and if you use drops often, a preservative-free formula is gentler on the surface.

We can also keep your own tears on the eye for longer, using small plugs that slow drainage through the tear ducts.

When home care is not enough, there are treatments we can carry out here to clear blocked glands directly.

Before any of that, we look. Our keratograph takes an infrared photograph of the oil glands inside your eyelids, so we can see which ones are still there. It times how fast your tear film breaks up and measures how much tear you have. It needs no drops and nothing touches your eye.

Ask us what would help your eyes. Dry eye is a condition we manage, and management works.
