At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.
Laser correction reshapes the cornea itself, removing microscopic amounts of tissue to change the focusing power of the eye's front surface.
The two common methods differ in how they reach the tissue. One lifts a thin flap and reshapes underneath. The other works on the surface, and takes longer to heal.
Not every eye is suitable. A thin cornea, a very large prescription, significant dry eye or an irregular surface can all rule it out. The assessment exists to find that.
Laser corrects the prescription you have today. It does not stop your eyes ageing, so you will still need reading glasses in your forties.
Ask us whether your eyes would qualify. The measurements answer that question, and we can do them here.
