Transcript

At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.

Macular degeneration attacks the macula, the small central part of the retina that does fine detail. It takes faces and reading, and leaves your side vision.

There are two kinds. The dry form creeps along over years. The wet form, where fluid leaks under the macula, can change your vision within days.

The warning sign is straight lines appearing wavy. A door frame that bends, or a blur in the middle of the page. That change needs looking at quickly.

The wet form has genuinely effective treatment. Injections can stop the leaking and often recover some vision. The earlier it starts, the more is protected.

Ask us to check your macula. We scan it in cross-section, which shows change well before you would notice it.
