Transcript

At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.

A very fine membrane can grow across the surface of the retina and contract, wrinkling it. Straight lines then look bent or wavy.

Many of these need nothing more than watching. If the distortion is mild and stable, surgery is not worth its risks, so we measure it and follow it.

A choroidal nevus is a freckle inside your eye, a pigmented spot lying beneath the retina. They are common and almost always harmless.

We photograph it for the same reason a doctor measures a mole on your skin. What matters is not how it looks today, but whether it changes.

Ask to see your own retinal photographs. Comparing them year to year is what makes any change obvious.
