At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.
With an implantable lens, nothing is removed. Your own natural lens stays exactly where it is, and a thin corrective lens is placed in front of it.
This suits prescriptions that laser cannot safely reach. Very short-sighted eyes, or corneas too thin for laser, are the usual reasons to consider it.
Unlike laser, which permanently removes tissue, an implanted lens can be taken out again or exchanged if your needs change.
This is surgery inside the eye, which carries different risks from a surface procedure, and it needs monitoring for years afterwards.
Ask us whether this is worth exploring. For prescriptions laser cannot fix, it is a genuine option.
