Transcript

At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.

The lens inside your eye changes shape to focus up close. When you were younger it did that easily. With age it becomes stiffer, and near focus is the first thing to go.

It happens to everyone, usually from around the mid forties. It is not a disease, and not a sign that your eyes are failing.

Glasses come in several forms. Simple readers, bifocals, and progressives, which give a smooth range of focus without a visible line.

Contact lenses are an option too. Multifocal lenses give both distances, or one eye can be set for distance and the other for near.

Ask us what would suit your day. The right answer depends on how you actually use your eyes, not just on your prescription.
