Transcript

At Eyecare Center of Orange County, Dr. Alexander Bonakdar has cared for patients for more than three decades. Trained at Bascom Palmer, board certified, and trusted by more than ten thousand Orange County patients since nineteen ninety one.

This looks far worse than it is. A tiny blood vessel under the surface has leaked, and the blood spreads out flat under clear tissue.

There is usually no pain at all, and vision is completely unaffected. If your sight is normal and the eye is comfortable, it is almost always harmless.

A cough, a sneeze, rubbing the eye or a blood thinner can all cause it. Very often there is no identifiable cause at all.

It clears on its own over two to three weeks, changing colour as it fades, like a bruise. If they keep happening we check your blood pressure.

One of these is nothing to worry about. If they keep happening, tell us, because a pattern is worth investigating.
