Understanding Onefit MED
About Onefit MED
The Onefit MED by Blanchard (now CooperVision Specialty) is a 15.6mm standard-diameter scleral lens designed with four independently customizable fitting zones. This modular design lets the fitter adjust the central optic, limbal clearance, and two scleral landing zones independently — a significant advantage for irregular corneas where a one-curve-fits-all approach often fails. The Onefit MED is a workhorse lens for keratoconus, post-graft corneas, and other irregular-cornea conditions.
Benefits of Onefit MED Treatment
- Four independently adjustable fitting zones for precise customization
- Standard 15.6mm diameter — comfortable and easy to handle
- Excellent for irregular corneas where simpler designs struggle
- Boston XO/XO2 gas-permeable material with high oxygen transmission
- Modular design reduces chair time — faster, more predictable fitting
